Following the success of the inaugural edition in 2012, Dungeon Works Productions and evenko are proud to present En Route to Heavy MTL 2013. With over 200 applications received last year, the battle of the bands showcased 20 of Quebec’s finest up-and-coming Heavy Metal acts and gave the two winning groups, Dark Century and HolloW, the chance to perform at Heavy MTL.
A prestigious panel of local and international judges, last year’s edition including members of Testament, Voivod, Heaven & Hell, Megadeth, Slaves on Dope, Annihilator, Despised Icon and Cannibal Corpse, alongside a number of industry representatives will be present over the course of the competition to determine the winners.
En Route to Heavy MTL 2013 will again be taking place at Les Katacombes (1635 St-Laurent Blvd) on the first Thursday of every month starting January 2013. The grand finale featuring the five bands with the top overall scores will take place in June 2013 at Théatre Corona (2490 Rue Notre-Dame W) date TBD.
Sign-up begin November 14st, 2012. Artists have until December 2nd, 2012 to register. The selected groups will be announced December 9th, 2012.

Heavy MTL is one of North-America’s premier destination heavy music festivals and takes place in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
